Vine has been creeping up from the rotting rainforest vegetation for years. The band started at Berkeley house parties and on turntables and tape decks in San Francisco last millenium. Singer/songwriter Patrick Thompson and DJ/Vocalist Greg Gil have been mixing up strange brews of rock, funk, hip hop, dub and pop since then.

Y2K saw the successful release of their 9th collection of cuts- the aptly-title "9" EP. Also in 2000, guitarist Jay Gore joined the band during the creation of Vine’s first full-length record.

"Three Days in the Desert" was recorded at Vine Central in Laguna Beach, CA, and Eleven Studios in Glendale, CA. Vine's mission is write and record good songs. Thanks and praise to Mike Eckart for the sounds, ears, and funky plug-ins.
